FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Answers to the things students and parents ask us most often.
What is an education loan?
An education loan funds tuition and related expenses for an approved course in India or abroad, repaid after the course (and moratorium) ends.
Do I need collateral?
Not always. Unsecured loans are available based on profile and co-applicant income; secured loans typically unlock larger amounts and better rates.
Who can be a co-applicant?
Usually a parent, spouse or close relative with stable income. Specific rules vary by lender.
What expenses are covered?
Tuition, hostel/living expenses, travel, exam and library fees, and one-time costs like laptops where lender policy allows.
When do I start repaying?
Most lenders allow a moratorium covering the course and a grace period (commonly 6–12 months) before EMIs begin.
What happens after the loan check?
We show possible next steps. A lender reviews your details before any offer.
How long does the lender decision take?
Usually 5–7 days after documents are complete. Complex profiles or secured loans may take longer.
